Afton Alps, A Minnesota State Park
The late afternoon of a late summer’s day I hiked one of Afton Park’s northern prairie trails as the sun was near its setting. Glorious was the setting. The reclaimed prairie is beautiful, though small in acreage it is a lovely place. I wondered what this grassland prairie might have looked like 200 and more years ago.
